community based project which
started in 2005.
The concept behind Boy Idols was
formed after many years of
experience in the film and
commercial industry in South Africa.
Boy Idols form part of Good Hope
which is been active and serving the
film and commercial industry for 10
Girls in general is beautiful,
but it is rare that "handsome" boys
make it to the modeling world. With
National and International clients,
Good Hope Talent Agency became one
of the leading casting and modeling
agents in South Africa. With
the growing demand for boy models,
it became clear that there is a huge
market for boy models.
When referring to boy models, we
refer to boys from the ages of 8 to
about 19 years of age.
Take any clothing store or family
magazine as an example. When looking
through the pages, one will see that
many of them contains "fashion"
inserts, featuring boys and girls.
These adverts are generally referred
to as "in-house modeling". In-house
modeling is not the same as "ramp
modeling" where models parade on a
ramp to promote a new clothing line.
In-house modeling is the
production of fashion stills
pictures, which is either shot in a
studio or out doors. These pictures
are used to promote a new clothing
or fashion range for a variety of
